Position(s):      Director of Operations

Hours:             8 hours per day, M-F, Normal Work Year (258 work days)

Work Year:    2017-2018-remainder of the school year

Salary:            $58,909-$64,947 (salary based on 260 days; Actual salary will be prorated based on # days remaining in 2017-18)

 

Description: Under general supervision of the District Superintendent, the Director of Operations will monitor and coordinate work in the building trades such as the alteration, maintenance, repair, and remodeling of buildings and equipment; supervise the maintenance, grounds, and custodial personnel of the District.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:       High school diploma or equivalent, and trade school courses.

Experience:      Five years of experience in construction and/or building maintenance work; experience in one or more of the building trades.

Knowledge of:            

  • Building and safety codes.
  • Hand tools and procedures used in building construction.
  • Skills of one or more building trades.

Ability to:

  • Perform necessary tasks of a particular trade.
  • Supervise grounds, maintenance and custodial personnel.
  • Supervise maintenance procedures.
  • Work from sketches and blueprints.
  • Make oral and written reports.
  • Plan and perform general maintenance tasks.
  • Estimate time and materials.
  • Diagnose problems with various appliances and systems.
  • Operate power equipment including trucks, forklift and tractor.
  • Schedule work orders and follow-up.

  • Subject to temperature variations, inclement weather conditions, heavy lifting and shift variation.

Position:           Student Support Counselor

Work Year:       Full work year is 193 days. Days will be pro-rated for the remainder of the 2017-2018 school year.

SALARY:  Placement on the Negotiated Certificated Management Salary Schedule, $98,392-$104,330 depending on experience and recommendation of Superintendent (Intern: 90% of Base), plus Stipend $1,000 for Masters/$2,000 Doctorate.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Knowledge of:             

Counseling theories, methodology, ethics and associated legal confidentiality requirements, Laws regarding minors and child abuse reporting, Normal and abnormal child behavior and development.  Response to Intervention programs, Community referral resources, Principles of effective communication, Laws and regulations relating to at-risk students.

Ability to:

Maintain cooperative relationships with students, administration, staff, parents and community at large, Relate effectively with a wide variety of professional staff members, Provide counseling services to students, Make referrals to other community resources, support groups, etc., when necessary, Plan, prepare and conduct individual and group counseling sessions, Meet schedules and timelines, Work confidentially with discretion, Maintain records and prepare various reports including confidential materials, Monitor student behavior, Exchange information with others, Provide parent and community education of student issues, Work independently and collaboratively when necessary.

Hours:             Hours vary; On-call; as-needed basis

Salary:             $16.46 per hour (Range 11, Step 1)

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Lead Maintenance/Utility Worker, the Custodian will plan, schedule, and perform cleaning work in schools, offices, or recreational buildings of the District.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:       High school diploma or equivalent combination or education and experience.

Experience:     One year in custodial or grounds maintenance work.

Knowledge of:           

  • General knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work.
  • Maintaining school buildings and grounds in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.

 

Ability to:       Evaluate and use cleaning materials and equipment with skilled efficiency.

  • Use basic mechanical tools in performing minor repairs.
  • Operation of ventilation equipment.
  • Perform manual labor.
  • Understand and follow written and oral instructions cooperatively with others.
