Position(s):       Technology Director

Hours:
              8 hours per day, M-F, Normal Work Year (258 work days)

Start Date:        July 17, 2017
Salary:  $79,543 - $87,497 (based on 260 days; Actual salary will be prorated based on 249 days for 2017-18)

 

Description:     

Under the direct supervision of the District Superintendent to monitor and coordinate computerized technology district-wide. In addition, this position is required to establish procedures and controls for the efficient operation of technology and integration of that technology in to curriculum.  Demonstrate qualities of initiative, dependability, resourcefulness, industry, integrity, and excellent judgment.

 

Min. Qualifications:

High school diploma with additional training or experience in the job market. Knowledge of computer system programs and operation of same. Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of various audio-visual equipment.

BA or BS or equivalent experience.

 

Experience

Three years of increasing experience in working with computer systems operations (MIS); including hardware/software installations, report writing, and knowledge of network systems.  

 

Knowledge of:      

  • Laws and regulations affecting educational program functions and services as applicable to computer access and service.
  • IBM and MAC operating systems
  • Microcomputer systems including malfunction and trouble-shooting
  • Application software packages and their use
  • Networking environments, their use, and trouble-shooting
  • Network, and network wiring, Novell, Windows for Workgroups, and network technology
  • Familiarity with word processing, electronic spreadsheets, and databases, attendance and grade keeping software applications.

Working Conditions:

  • Perform varied tasks in a busy and hectic atmosphere.
  • Subject to occasional evening or weekend work.
  • Directly supervises other employees.
  • Interact with staff, students, and community members in a professional, effective manner.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Lead Maintenance/Utility Worker, the Custodian will plan, schedule, and perform cleaning work in schools, offices, or recreational buildings of the District.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:       High school diploma or equivalent combination or education and experience.

Experience:     One year in custodial or grounds maintenance work.

Knowledge of:           

  • General knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work.
  • Maintaining school buildings and grounds in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.

Ability to:       Evaluate and use cleaning materials and equipment with skilled efficiency.

  • Use basic mechanical tools in performing minor repairs.
  • Operation of ventilation equipment.
  • Perform manual labor.
  • Understand and follow written and oral instructions cooperatively with others.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Subject to temperature variations, inclement weather conditions, shift variations, strenuous labor, and heavy lifting (Must meet the minimum Physical Requirements listed below).

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher and the School Site Principal, the Special Education Paraprofessional will perform the necessary duties to assist in the planning and implementation of a program for special needs children in the classroom.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
 

Education:       High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Passing score on the proficiency test or possess an Associate of Arts (AA) Degree or higher or have completed 48 college units.

Experience:     One year of Child/Youth related experience or equivalent training.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Positions in this class perform work, which may include lifting, pushing and/or pulling which normally does not exceed 50 pounds, however, must meet physical requirements below.
  • Requires the mobility to stand, stoop, reach and bend.
  • Requires vision (which may be corrected) to read small print.
